General Purpose: Assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties.

Responsibilities & Duties
Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures
Measure distance from grade stakes, drive stakes and stretch tight lines
Bolts, nails, aligns and blocks up under forms
Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications
Level earth to fine grade specifications, using hand tools
Mix concrete using portable mixer
Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete using float, trowel or screed
Position, join, align and seal pipe sections
Erect scaffolding, shoring and bracing
Mop, brush or spread paints or bituminous compounds over surfaces for protection
Spray materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint or stucco through hose to clean, coat or seal surfaces
Apply caulking compounds by hand or with caulking gun to seal crevices
Grind, sand or polish surfaces such as concrete, using abrasive tools or machines
Perform tasks involving use of hands and tools, such as demolishing buildings, sawing lumber, dismantling forms, removing forms from concrete, mounting pipe hangers, cutting and attaching insulating material, use of jackhammers, cleanup, etc.
Maintain a professional appearance

Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent GED.
Required Experience
Minimum of three months past experience working as a general laborer.
Required Skills/Licenses/Certifications
Valid driver’s license to operate motor vehicles.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s, ability to perform these operations using unit weight measurements and volumes.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
Workers should be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards

May require working at various heights, up to 100-feet, from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, or other safe work areas.
Required Personal Protective Equipment
Employees must use hard hats, eye protection (ANSI Z87), hearing protection (where required), safety-toe protective footwear (ANSI Z41) and gloves as required by industry/construction safety standards or as deemed necessary by Company safety policy and procedure.
